About the Unit
The unit was established by Administrative Decision No. 76559/34/D dated 28/5/1434H (corresponding to [Gregorian date]) to align with King Abdulaziz University's direction toward developing educational methods and the College of Medicine's desire to leverage its available expertise and competencies.
From a broad perspective, our goal in the Academic and Educational Systems Development Unit is to achieve excellence in education at all levels and foster outstanding student learning—both inside and outside the classroom. The unit strives to establish, root, practice, and realize the concept of "Academic E-Learning" as a prevailing educational policy by utilizing the latest e-learning systems and platforms (e.g., Blackboard).
This approach goes beyond rigid content delivery—it encompasses dynamic processes that make learning effective, such as:
Capturing students' attention and motivating them toward the material.
Convincing them of the importance of what they will study and learn.
Extending to develop students' readiness and skills to analyze, discuss, formulate ideas, craft visions, evaluate issues, and make informed judgments.
As a result, students graduate with:
✔ High personal capacity for independent, critical, and constructive thinking.
✔ Strong commitment to themselves, their peers, and society at large.
Thus, the collective learning experiences students gain at [University Name] directly and positively influence their life situations and the broader community—the wider circle of higher education outcomes.
