Deputy Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs
The Deputy Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs exercises the following authorities to facilitate the work of the departments and units under his supervision:
Organizing final exam schedules in coordination with scientific branches.
Organizing weekly class schedules in coordination with scientific branches, ensuring proper classroom allocation for smooth graduate studies.
Supervising weekly lecture records to ensure coverage of all required hours per subject, in accordance with applicable regulations.
Monitoring graduate students' attendance and discipline in compliance with university policies.
Reviewing graduate admission applications after submission by scientific branches, consolidating them, and forwarding them to the university presidency.
Reviewing transfer requests of graduate students from other universities to the college and referring them to the relevant scientific branches for evaluation.
Tracking graduate students' progress, study durations, and full-time commitment per regulations.
Participating in graduate studies committee meetings when invited to discuss relevant academic matters.
Preparing discussion schedules for graduate students one week before their defense and organizing discussion committee minutes.
Supervising the preparation of annual statistics related to graduate studies in the college.
Distributing and collecting exam booklets per established rules.
Announcing exam results after approval by the graduate studies committees in scientific branches.
Providing scientific departments with grades for approval by graduate studies committees.
Coordinating with scientific branches regarding exam question submissions for first and second attempts, following undergraduate procedures.
Corresponding with official departments regarding graduate students' records from enrollment to graduation.
