The College of Medicine at Fallujah University received a delegation from the Scientific Council for Internal Medicine at the Iraqi Board for Medical Specialties in the Dean's office. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the establishment of a training center for the Iraqi Board program in Internal Medicine, a program administratively and supervisorily overseen by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The delegation was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafe' Alawi Fayyad, the Head of the Internal Medicine Department, Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar Mohammed, Dr. Mohammed Ismail Dawood, and a number of faculty members. During the meeting, the scientific and clinical resources available at the college were reviewed, and the academic and training requirements necessary for the center's accreditation according to established regulations and standards were discussed.
The visit also included a field tour of Fallujah Teaching Hospital to assess its suitability as an accredited clinical training center for Iraqi Board students in Internal Medicine. The delegation reviewed the infrastructure, clinical capacity, number of beds, patient volume, availability of specialist staff, and educational activities supporting the training process.
This visit comes as part of the effort to enhance specialized medical education programs and create a sound training environment that keeps pace with approved scientific standards, which contributes to raising the level of specialists in the field of internal medicine.
