A joint coordination meeting was held at the Women's and Children's Teaching Hospital in Fallujah between the hospital administration and the College of Medicine at the University of Fallujah. The meeting aimed to develop students' skills and enhance their practical experience through close cooperation between the college's professors and fellow specialist doctors at the hospital.
The College of Medicine delegation consisted of the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafie Alawi Fayyadh; the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Razzaq Muhammad; the Head of the Pediatrics Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Talib Al-Ani; and the Head of the Gynecology Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Hamid Al-Janabi. The delegation was received by the hospital's Deputy Director, Dr. Muhammad Ismail Al-Kubaisi; the Head of the Pediatrics Department, Dr. Bassem Atallah Al-Abdali; and the Head of the Gynecology Department, Dr. Raghad Al-Kubaisi.
The meeting included an agreement to begin establishing a specialized hall for student training and seminars. The college pledged to furnish and equip this hall with the latest modern teaching methods, keeping pace with academic and medical developments.
A field tour of the hospital's corridors was also conducted, emphasizing the importance of collaborative work to raise the level of clinical training and enhance students' professional and ethical standards, thus contributing to improving the quality of medical education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean commended the efforts of colleagues at the Women's and Children's Teaching Hospital, headed by the Director, Dr. Alawi Mohi Al-Issawi, appreciating their dedication and support for medical education.
These efforts are part of preparations for accreditation by the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq, ensuring the advancement of academic standards and training services provided to medical students.
