Under the esteemed patronage of the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, the second edition of the “University of Fallujah Arab Poetry Festival 2025” was inaugurated today, Wednesday, November 26, 2025. The festival brings together twelve poets alongside a distinguished assembly of intellectuals from across Iraq, in a literary gathering aimed at reviving classical Arabic poetry, preserving its rich heritage, and fostering cultural dialogue.
During the opening ceremony, the University President delivered a keynote address, emphasizing that the festival represents a true celebration of the Arabic language and its literary heritage. The event, held under the gracious sponsorship of the Honorable Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, reflects the University’s commitment to promoting literature, thought, and cultural identity, while reinforcing its role within Iraq’s and the Arab world’s cultural landscape.
