Under the patronage and in the presence of the President of the University of Fallujah, Professor Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, the College of Medicine at the University of Fallujah, in cooperation with the Royal College of Physicians Iraq Network, organized a scientific workshop entitled:
Medical Education Essential Package (MEEP). The workshop was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafe Alawi Fayyad, as part of an institutional effort to modernize medical education pathways in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
The workshop was attended by the President of the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq, Professor Dr. Yusra Abdul Rahman Mahmoud, along with the Vice President of the Council, Professor Dr. Hilal Bahjat Al-Saffar, and Council Member Professor Dr. Nizar Al-Haddad, as well as a number of faculty members and those interested in academic affairs.
The workshop addressed several key topics, including developing the design of learning outcomes according to modern reference frameworks, activating interactive teaching strategies in large classrooms, preparing assessment blueprints, and constructing multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and standardized answer questions (SBAs) in accordance with educational measurement standards and quality assurance criteria.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Dean of the College presented a plaque of appreciation to Professor Dr. Yusra Abdul Rahman Mahmoud, President of the National Council; Professor Dr. Hilal Bahjat Al-Saffar, Vice President of the Council; and Professor Dr. Nizar Al-Haddad, a lecturer and member of the National Council, in recognition of their scholarly efforts and contributions to supporting the academic accreditation process and developing medical education in Iraq.
This event is part of the College's strategic plan aimed at enhancing the competence of faculty members and aligning academic programs with quality and accreditation requirements, thereby contributing to improving medical outcomes and strengthening the College's academic presence both locally and internationally.
