Under the patronage and with the participation of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Assistant Professor Dr. Rafe Alawi Fayyad, and in cooperation with the Anbar Health Department/Al-Saqlawiyah Health Sector, the college organized a volunteer campaign to visit several schools to examine students' vision.
The campaign included conducting eye examinations for students suffering from vision problems, diagnosing the causes of visual impairment, and providing appropriate recommendations and treatment procedures for each case. During the campaign, more than 100 students were examined at the health center in the Al-Bushajl/Al-Saqlawiyah area.
The campaign was implemented by Dr. Noor Hussein Abadi, a lecturer specializing in ophthalmology, along with fifth-year students who actively contributed to organizing the work and facilitating procedures to ensure the efficient completion of the examinations.
The visit also included the participation of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Sufian Wadi Hanchal, Dr. Yousef Zaben Khudair, Assistant Lecturer Thaer Khashaa Mustafa, and Dr. Alaa Hassoun Obeid. The delegation was received by the Director of the Health Center, Dr. Ahmed Obeid Al-Muhammadi, and Mr. Imad Naama Al-Muhammadi. This initiative comes as part of the College of Medicine’s commitment to strengthening its community role and contributing to the provision of preventive health services, especially for school students.
