  • Teaching Scope: Principles & branches of General Surgery to students in Stages 3 through 6.
  • Vision: Excellence in surgical education to prepare high-level surgeons.
  • Mission: Equip students with knowledge, skills, and attitudes for lifelong learning, personal development, societal contribution, research advancement, and meeting community needs.
  • Key Objectives:

    2. Train students for safe, supervised surgical practice.

    5. Supply qualified surgical personnel to health institutions.

  • Current Faculty: 11 members covering specialties:
    • Gastrointestinal Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics & Traumatology, Oncology, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery, Radiology.
    • Led by: Dr. Abdul Hadi Maryoud (Head), Dr. Omar Mahmoud Shaker (Rapporteur).
  • Administration: 1 employee (Wael Firas Yahya).
  • Research: Active publication in college, national, and international journals (including high-impact). Focus areas include:
    • Common surgical conditions, laparoscopy, cancer detection (General/Peds).
    • Urinary stones, reconstructive surgery, incontinence, infertility (Urology).
    • Arthroscopy, joint replacement, fracture treatment (Orthopedics).
    • Reducing blindness, corneal/retinal diseases (Ophthalmology).
    • Accident surgery, heart operations (Thoracic/CV).
    • Diagnostic imaging (Radiology).
    • ENT disease treatments.
  • Community Service: Faculty serve as specialists at Fallujah Teaching Hospital (clinics, surgeries - emergency & elective, beyond hours) and participate in health campaigns.
