Obstetrics-&-Gynecology
Department of Obstetrics &Gynecology was established at the Fallujah College of Medicine in the 2016 year, and it is one of the four clinical departments. The department worked to achieve integration with other branches in the college and also focused on giving theoretical lectures, practical training in hospitals, and observing surgical operations. Vision, mission and goals for the department:vision:It seeks to be one of the most important and distinguished branches in the college and to develop clinical skills and advance scientific researches.message:Preparing the male or female doctor in a professional manner, with attention to the human aspect and ethical dealings in gynecology.objectives:1- Focus on basic knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology and obtain a solid foundation in this subject.2- Providing medical students with the opportunity to use the best options in treating their patients and developing their abilities and skills.3- Strengthening the relationship between the student and his teachers, even after his graduation, in order to preserve the continuity of the educational process.

Teaching Scope: Principles & branches of General Surgery to students in Stages 3 through 6.
Vision: Excellence in surgical education to prepare high-level surgeons.
Mission: Equip students with knowledge, skills, and attitudes for lifelong learning, personal development, societal contribution, research advancement, and meeting community needs.

Teach core surgical concepts.
Train students for safe, supervised surgical practice.
Integrate modern surgical technologies.
Provide updates on surgical advancements.
Supply qualified surgical personnel to health institutions.
Achieve high standards efficiently.
Attract scientific competencies.
Current Faculty: 11 members covering specialties:
Gastrointestinal Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics & Traumatology, Oncology, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery, Radiology.
Led by: Dr. Abdul Hadi Maryoud (Head), Dr. Omar Mahmoud Shaker (Rapporteur).
Administration: 1 employee (Wael Firas Yahya).
Research: Active publication in college, national, and international journals (including high-impact). Focus areas include:
Common surgical conditions, laparoscopy, cancer detection (General/Peds).
Urinary stones, reconstructive surgery, incontinence, infertility (Urology).
Arthroscopy, joint replacement, fracture treatment (Orthopedics).
Reducing blindness, corneal/retinal diseases (Ophthalmology).
Accident surgery, heart operations (Thoracic/CV).
Diagnostic imaging (Radiology).
ENT disease treatments.
Infrastructure: 1 room (2 offices) equipped with computer and display devices.
Community Service: Faculty serve as specialists at Fallujah Teaching Hospital (clinics, surgeries - emergency & elective, beyond hours) and participate in health campaigns.
Community Medicine
The Family and Community Medicine is considered as one of the basic branches in medical colleges. Mission: To raise the scientific and research level of the medical students to be doctors capable of describing society’s problems and then developing appropriate plans and programs to promote health and solving the problems among members of society.Vision: The Family and Community Medicine Department aims to provide the students with the sciences, knowledge and skills that aim to:- Analyze, diagnose, treat, prevent and control common diseases (communicable and non-communicable diseases) in the community - Providing the student with the basic skills necessary to conduct the medical research.Learning and teaching methods are conducted via: Theoretical lectures, seminars, workshops and practical exercises & field visits to the primary health care centers and teaching hospitals.
