E-Learning Unit

About the Unit The unit was established by Administrative Decision No. 76559/34/D dated 28/5/1434H (corresponding to [Gregorian date]) to align with King Abdulaziz University's direction toward developing educational methods and the College of Medicine's desire to leverage its available expertise and competencies. From a broad perspective, our goal in the Academic and Educational Systems Development Unit is to achieve excellence in education at all levels and foster outstanding student learning—both inside and outside the classroom. The unit strives to establish, root, practice, and realize the concept of "Academic E-Learning" as a prevailing educational policy by utilizing the latest e-learning systems and platforms (e.g., Blackboard). This approach goes beyond rigid content delivery—it encompasses dynamic processes that make learning effective, such as: Capturing students' attention and motivating them toward the material. Convincing them of the importance of what they will study and learn. Extending to develop students' readiness and skills to analyze, discuss, formulate ideas, craft visions, evaluate issues, and make informed judgments. As a result, students graduate with: ✔ High personal capacity for independent, critical, and constructive thinking. ✔ Strong commitment to themselves, their peers, and society at large. Thus, the collective learning experiences students gain at [University Name] directly and positively influence their life situations and the broader community—the wider circle of higher education outcomes. Vision The Academic and Educational Systems Development Unit at the College of Medicine aspires to become a local and regional reference in e-learning. Mission The E-Learning Unit at the College of Medicine seeks to provide and develop top-tier electronic services with high quality in a secure and reliable environment, using the latest information technology and infrastructure. This aims to achieve success in the educational and research processes.

Testing and Measurement Unit

Assessment and Evaluation Unit Establishment and Purpose The Assessment and Evaluation Unit was established to oversee, organize, and ensure the integrity of examinations for all academic departments and courses within the College of Medicine. The unit operates in compliance with the college’s policies and standards to maintain fair, reliable, and effective assessment procedures. Core Responsibilities Examination Supervision & Coordination Managing final examinations for all courses. Ensuring adherence to college policies and academic standards. Faculty & Examiner Support Empowering faculty members and exam supervisors with best practices in assessment methods. Providing guidance on effective evaluation tools aligned with the college’s curriculum. Student Training & Development Conducting training workshops for medical students to enhance their: Test-taking strategies Pre-graduation and post-graduation exam readiness (e.g., licensing exams) Quality Assurance in Assessment Reviewing and improving exam formats and evaluation criteria. Implementing fair and transparent grading systems.

Community Service Unit

Community Service Unit Overview The Community Service Unit was established at the College of Medicine and King Abdulaziz University Hospital in Jeddah to serve the community through: Education & Training Health-focused community service programs Charitable medical services Volunteer engagement Strategic partnerships with employers and healthcare organizations Activities & Initiatives 1. Education & Training Conducting community health training programs Organizing workshops, courses, and seminars in collaboration with experts 2. Charitable Healthcare Services Providing free medical treatment for underprivileged communities Recruiting volunteer doctors and members for charitable programs 3. Volunteer Engagement Activating and managing volunteer networks Documenting and evaluating community service programs 4. Partnerships & Collaboration Building alliances with: Other university departments (Psychology, Home Economics/Mother & Child Health, etc.) Local businesses, banks, and charities Healthcare associations 5. Awareness & Outreach Running health education campaigns inside and outside the hospital Utilizing social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) to: Promote services Advertise volunteer opportunities Document community programs 6. College of Medicine – University of Fallujah Mission: The Quality and Academic Accreditation Unit at the College of Medicine – University of Fallujah works to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement. It activates the internal quality assurance system by conducting regular reviews, internal monitoring, and ensuring compliance with standards to enhance institutional capacity and educational effectiveness, ultimately striving for academic accreditation of the college.
